My Story
Dr. Raymond A. Hopkins is an international business strategist specializing in governance for global expansion. He is an aerospace and defense leader and former Boeing employee whose career included international purchasing, government contracts, and international contracts management. While with McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Company, later acquired by The Boeing Company, he worked as an international purchasing agent and subsequently as a government and international contracts manager. Earlier in his career, he worked in procurement with U.S. Borax & Chemical and Fluor Engineers.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Southern California, Dr. Hopkins earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from California State University, Fullerton. While working professionally, he earned a Master of Science degree in public administration from California State University, Los Angeles, and a Doctor of Business Administration degree from Nova Southeastern University. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in international business and marketing and has published academic conference papers, marketing journal articles, and books.
Dr. Hopkins has received the Emerald Literati Network 2010 Outstanding Paper Award, the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) 1998 Life Cycle Cost Reduction Award, and the DoD 1999 Single Process Initiative Individual Recognition Award.

Raymond’s professional experience spans global aerospace, defense, and commercial sectors, including work with the U.S. Government and international customers in South Korea, Japan, Colombia, Denmark, and the United Kingdom. He has authored multiple books on exporting and international business expansion, providing practical insights and tools for organizations navigating cross-border growth.
